“Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised” Hebrews 10:36
Church day! We made it to the early service just a little bit late. So, it was a normal day. It was the start of a new series that will last the summer, so I'm looking forward to the message as the pastor walks us through Acts. When we made it back home, we were treated to a homemade breakfast for lunch! Pops and Mama Elise made eggs, blueberry pancakes, and sausage. What a nice lunch!
The afternoon was full of naps and Animal Planet. It was a nice, relaxing afternoon. Pops and Mama love Papasitas, so we headed there for dinner.
On the way, Mirjan was very observant and saw Ryan's face look a little funny. So, she grabbed the closest thing available (my baseball hat that Ryan was wearing) and Ryan got sick. I just kept driving and Mirjan handled it like a champ. When we got there, Ryan was more interested in the "balloon guy" than in eating. He never ate a bite there, and Mirjan ended up making him something at home. However, Emma can eat! I don't know how that little body can hold that much food....amazing. The food at Papasitas was great, and Pops and Mama picked up the bill. That was really nice of them!
When we arrived back home, Pops was still trying to make progress with the "Angry Birds" game on his phone. Ryan asked him if he needed any help, because "he is really good at it." :) We watched some more of Animal Planet. The "Life" series is really good.
After an ice cream sandwich, Emma was full of energy.
Pops and Mama will be leaving tomorrow, and we will miss them! It has been a blessing that they have been able to visit and help out so much over the past couple of months. The kids have really been able to bond with them, and the kids have truly enjoyed their time with the grandparents! Pops and Mama have a 20 hour car trip ahead of them, so we pray for a safe trip and are grateful for their visit.
Father, thank you for blessing Ryan with a good day. Thank you for the love of grandparents and the time they were able to spend with the kids. Please bless them and let them have a safe trip home. Father the series on suffering was relevant and timely, and as we approach the end of this journey, the series on Acts is timely as well. Please let that touch our hearts and guide the next steps for our family to do your work. I am grateful for your blessings, and I ask that you continue to heal my little boy. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
