"Do good ... be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share ... so that you may take hold of the life that really is life." -1 Timothy 6:18-19
Ryan had a good day today. It's still a challenge to get him to eat anything, so maybe tomorrow is his "catch up on eating day." He didn't get sick today, so that is always a good thing.
Mirjan, Mama Elise, and the kids went across town to see Becky and Abby. Abby was having a little party and they played at the pool. It sounded like they had a wonderful time!
Pops and I ran some errands this morning....Garden Ridge, Hobby Lobby, and Sams Club. He was in search of some decorative things for his house, I picked up some activity things for the kids, and then we picked up the necessities at Sams.
After Abby's party, she came over and played with the kids for a while.
After she left, it was a lazy afternoon. Computer time, Wii time, and then pizza time. Afterward, it was outside time and some more Wii. Ryan and I went out back and played baseball for a while. He was hitting the ball like a champ. I had to position him away from the house because I thought he was going to break a window. After every pitch, he would say, "Nice throw, Dad." He was in his cool mode again. Here is a picture after he hit another home run (that's a big bat for him!).
Pops and I watched Sherlock Holmes after everyone else called it a night. We've caught up on several movies over the past couple of days.
Every day and every moment is a blessing. There are still the chaos and discipline moments that pop up in children's lives, but those are minor compared to the many loving, laughable, cherished moments. I really am enjoying those moments more as they are happening and I'm thankful for those blessings. There are many of those each day, and I relish them.
Father, thank you for a healthy, active day for Ryan. Thank you for the love of family and that the kids could spend time with cousin Abby and Aunt Becky. Thank you for Pops and Mama Elise and their time and love. Ryan praises you every day, and I thank you for walking with him during this journey. I ask that you continue to heal my little boy. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
