"My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Exodus 33:14
Ryan had a good day today! He went to school, and he was in a great mood when I got home. We're going to try to get him back into school for a couple of days a week. Even though we've tried to keep his life as normal as possible and go out do things quite a bit, being at home all day has to drive him nuts at times. This might be the X factor with the behavior......maybe?
He was playing a puzzle game on the ipod tonight and was thoroughly engaged. Pops can attest to his aptitude at puzzle games, because, if I remember correctly, Pops was asking him for advice. Ryan is amazingly good at these games. It's interesting watching his reactions and how he approaches each little challenge.
Mirjan took the girls a bath tonight, and it sounded a little out of control. I guess they take advantage of the substitute teacher when they get a chance. :)
Tomorrow, we are going to hang out again and have a guy's day. I'm not sure what we will end up doing, but I'm sure we'll have a blast together. I really enjoy our time together, and it's extra special when there are no distractions.
Davianna, Ryan, and I read a book together and all was good. Because they have been at each other lately, I asked each one of them to say something nice or something that they like about the other (I know I was pushing it). Ryan sat down in deep thought and said, "I'll ask God." Then he whispered in my ear, "God said to say Davianna is beautiful, but I don't know if I want to say that." :) So, I shared it with her. Davianna said that Ryan was really nice...at times. I told her to take off the qualifier and tell him again. We talked again about love and family, and I received some acknowledgment.
Father, thank you for blessing Ryan with a healthy and good day. Thank you for the caring and loving individuals at his school and how they have been so flexible. I ask that now he is starting to go to school several days a week, that you keep his body and immune system strong, so he stays healthy. Please continue to heal my little boy. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
