Day Eighty-two

"Every day, you're telling your kids a story by the way you live your life, even when you don't speak a word.  What story are you telling your kids about the world, and especially about the way you live with and for God over time?  It's crucial that you're communicating God's worldview to your kids, instead of telling them to believe what the Bible says but then living according to the world's values rather than what God values."  Live It

The house was LOUD when I got home.  I don't think it was due to my presence, but I sure did contribute to the noise.  Ryan was doing really well today!  Mirjan made a wonderful dinner, and Ryan was happy at dinner time (what a welcomed change).  He ate most of his pork, and then opened the sour patches that someone bought him today and shared them with everyone.

The evening went by fast and the kids were in bed by 8:30....every now and then we make it the schedule.  Mirjan had a chore putting Emma to sleep, but does it in such a loving way as usual.

Tonight, we watched the end of "Red River," and I could tell that Pops really enjoys those old black and white movies....kind of like his solitaire game on his iphone.  It was a good movie, and much better in HD.  :) He was working hard today.  He painted the garage door trim, the back door trim, and ordered some parts for the kitchen aid.  The kitchen aid folks know him by first name now. :)  He really has been helping out quite a bit, and I am thankful.

Pops let me borrow his camera, so I have some more pictures of the last day or so.

Father, thank you for blessing Ryan with a healthy, good day.  Thank you for his kindness and energy.  Thank you for the blessings of family.  I am grateful for the wonderful day that you have provided.  I ask that you continue to be with Ryan, comfort him, calm his behavior, and continue to heal his little body.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.
