Day Eighty-one

"I have set the LORD always before me.  Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken."  Psalm 16:8

Ryan was full of energy when I got home today.  He wasn't full of food at dinner time, but that didn't slow him down.  Ryan just ate a tortilla full of grated cheese.  At least it was something.   We have our in-house chefs, and we enjoyed chicken suizas enchiladas!  Uhmmmm....goood!   It truly has been a blessing to have Pops and Mama Elise cooking, helping out, and enjoying time with them.  Pops was fixing things all day....he found some poison ivy in the back forty that he cleaned up, and then he took apart a kitchen aid mixer (a lot of parts) and started the repair process.   Tonight he is relaxing and trying to win at Ragdoll Blaster on his iphone.  One level at a time, Pops...

Last night we watched Mama Mia, and Mirjan laughed and laughed.  She hadn't seen it before and enjoyed it.  She needed a good laugh, so that was nice.  Pops carries his own dvd store when he travels, so I'm sure we'll watch some more while they are here.

We went to the little playground after dinner, and the kids were able to run off some energy.  Here are some pictures from my phone:

I took the kids a bath and then we played for a while.  Emma is one tough little girl!  She takes it from Ryan and gives it back double.   At one point, all three were on top of me and laughing like crazy kids.  Afterward, Ryan went to bed very quickly.  He was worn out.   Davianna was reading the dog book that Nanna gave her.  Nanna has supplied an entire library for the kids, and every now and then the dog book is pulled out for one specific reason:  you can pull the dog's leg and it shows him peeing on a tree.  Thanks, Nanna, for providing that never-ending entertainment.  The rest of the book really is neat (fluffy dog ears, soft dog ears, silky dog ears, etc.).

Good day...Thank you, Lord!

Father, thank you for blessing Ryan with another healthy day full of energy.  Thank you for Pops and Elise and all that they are doing for us while they visit.  I ask that you guide us through Ryan's mood swings and give us the patience and ideas to manage those with him.  I ask that you comfort him, increase his appetite, and balance all the things that he needs your help with during this journey.  Take our anxieties this week as we wait for the test results, and I pray that nothing concerning is identified from the tests.  Father, I ask this in Jesus' name.  Amen.
