But something extraordinary happened to those two men on that journey. A man began to walk with them! And as they listened to what he said and watched what he did, they soon realized who that man was....Jesus.
The above was from Jack Graham's weekly powerpoint when Christ arose, and I immediately thought about Ryan's Journey. Jesus has been with us the entire way, guiding us, giving us wisdom, comforting us, giving us hope, and assuring us that Ryan will be healed. He is a source of strength that has been powerful during the last 67 days, and I am thankful.
Ryan had a good day today. He was full of energy and was in good spirits. He said some funny things today that I can't quite remember right now. I just remember laughing. As I put him to bed, he wanted to hear stories about when I was a kid (again). He still thinks it's funny that we didn't have ipods, cell phones, transformers, bakugans, etc. He was excited that I played with hot wheels and army men. I love our little talks at night. He is just a sweet-hearted, little boy.
Davianna read a little book tonight and then schooled me in I Spy again. She is doing better at sounding out words instead of just guessing, but I do have to keep prodding her to try. I can see her getting more comfortable with words and sounds almost on a daily basis. She was really tired, so bed time went pretty quick with her.
Emma was a blast today. She came running when I got home and that big smile and joyous laugh just made my day. I was trying to get her to say some words today. She understands everything, but isn't talking yet. So, I'd say, "eye," and she would poke me in my eye. I'd say, "nose," and she would bite my nose. If this continues, I'm going to need some protective gear as my teaching continues.
Mirjan cooked on the grill tonight, and it was soooo good! She is amazing!
Here are some pictures from Davianna's doctor visit today and some that Starlight Great Escapes took at the event on Saturday:
Father, I ask that you continue to care for Ryan, keep his immune system strong, and his spirits high. I thank you for the smiles and laughter of little children. Thank you for the love in our family that you have blessed us with, and I ask that you continue to guide us as our relationship with you and each other grows each day. Please give us strength this week and continue to heal my little boy. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

David, thank you for blessing us by documenting your families journey. It is inspriring to see. Ryan is a sweet boy and your entire family is the same. Sweet loving people. Your children are so lucky to have an involved and loving dad, and your wife to have a special husband! Blessings to you all this week.
Yes David, Ryan sure is one "sweet-hearted, little boy" and something that struck me as I keep reading "God's love displayed"...Ryan is God's love displayed, as are all of you! You are all an inspiration in faith and in the love and strength of family. Thank you for the blessing of being able to follow you all through this journey! Our prayers continue for Ryan...and for each one of you!
