"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. " 2 Corinthians 9:8
Ryan had a good day today. Thank you, Lord! We went to the early service, and we were not early, or on time, but not too late. Ryan went to Sunday School with Davianna and enjoyed it. I think he will be joining her class from now on. Emma went to the nursery and made it the entire time! The service was good as the ARISE series is coming to an end. We filled out commitment cards, addressed them to ourselves, and placed them at the cross. In a couple of months, they will mail them back to us to remind of our commitments and provide encouragement. Ryan was tired when he got home, but felt better after some food.
When we got home, Mirjan fixed the kids some food, and I mowed the lawn. Then it was time to go to the Easter Festival at the church. The kids met some of their friends and had a blast!
Here are some pictures from the day:
Good idea, Emma. Better timing would be about thirty minutes early before the egg hunt.
The church gave Ryan a big jar of his favorite candy...jelly beans!! God's love displayed.
When we got home, Ryan, Emma, and Mirjan took a nap. Davianna and I went to get some milk and flowers. She was so excited about planting flowers, but that lasted only until her hands got dirty. So, I planted flowers and trimmed some bushes and trees, while she rode her bicycle. However, she got back in the loop when it was time to water the flowers. Ryan came out and rode his big wheel and enjoyed the late afternoon outside. Mirjan cooked another wonderful dinner and then we relaxed in the family room. It was a good day!
After the baths, Davianna, Ryan, and I had a tea party. I'm learning a new world, and Ryan hasn't learned that Davianna is the queen at the tea party and he must listen to her. Ryan and I read about the states, and he was asking a lot of questions. He prayed another, long, beautiful prayer, and I could tell he felt every word. Davianna and I read an "I Spy" book, and she was on fire tonight. I picked the page, so I know that she didn't practice beforehand. I enjoy the time at night that I have with the kids.
Father, thank you for blessing Ryan with another healthy day. Thank you for the blessing of a beautiful day and wonderful, fun-filling activities at the church. Thank you for the love and caring for Ryan at the church. They truly make him feel special and loved, and I know that is your love expressed through others. Lord, I ask you to bless Ryan with a good week, keep his immune system strong, keep his spirits high, and continue to heal his little body. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
