"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken." Psalm 62:1-2
Ryan's temperature went down last night. Thank you, Lord! He had a good day today, and was more active. This evening, we were all tired. Mirjan took the kids a bath tonight, so she could remember how it's done. :) I'd say it went as well as when I give them a bath. So, I was honored with the bottle delivery responsibilities....and then I had to get Ryan's medicine...and then go on a pacifier hunt. Ryan went to bed quickly, and Davianna and I read a book. She was getting frustrated when I asked her sound out the words. Oh, well. We'll try some more tomorrow.
Ryan's best friend came over and played, and as always, Ryan was excited. He told me about it when I came home. Here is Ryan's friend, his brother, their mother, Ryan, and Emma.
Emma was loud and proud this evening. She was babbling non-stop while running, climbing, hitting, etc. She actually gave me a really kiss twice today. I think she mastered the lip smacking part of the kiss, since she use to just put her lips on my cheek or just stick out her tongue on my cheek.
Here's a picture of Davianna taking care of Ryan while they were watching tv today. Mirjan said she walked in the room and then quickly took a picture when she saw them.
I think we need to take a weekend and rest, but I think that won't happen until the weekend after this one. Ryan will have another big treatment, so I'm sure that Saturday will be a looong nap day.
Father, thank you for being with Ryan last night and eliminating his fever. Thank you for letting him enjoy his best friend today, and the love of a big sister. I am grateful for the little "love" moments that we experience each day that mean so much more since we started this journey. Lord, I ask you to give us strength and energy as we continue this journey. Please be with Ryan, keep him healthy and strong, and continue to heal his little body. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
