Ryan has an internal alarm clock that goes off early every day. Today was no different, but he was determined that we had to have donuts today! So, Ryan and I went to the donut shop. He got a bag of donut holes and by the time we got home, he had finished them.
Saturday was a good day. Becky and cousin Abby (same age as Davianna) came over with enough Chik-fil-A to feed the neighborhood. Abby brought Ryan a balloon and a stuffed alligator. She stayed for several hours and the kids had a great time together.
Afterwards, we just took it easy all day. It was cold outside, so we just watched tv and played some games. Ryan went and got the chess game, and although we had only played one time before, he put the pieces in the right places. We played by his rules, and therefore he won decisively.
We are truly amazed at how quickly Ryan is recovering from the surgery. We are constantly trying to slow him down, but it hasn't been easy. Games and movies will keep him in place for a while, so that's what we tried to do.
I know that this is tearing Mirjan apart inside, and so I'm trying to support her in any way that I can. Alot of "yes, dear; whatever you want, dear; I'll do that, dear; etc." You can just feel her love when she walks into the room, and it has only become stronger this past week. I have been praying for her more this week too.
We received quite a few calls, emails, and text messages from family, friends, church members, etc., checking on Ryan and asking if we needed ANYTHING.
Ryan asked if I would sleep with him tonight, and there is nothing that I would rather do.
We continue to pray and ask for His healing, comfort, and guidance.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
