"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is God's purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21
I like that verse, and I think I have listed it before on the blog. It is very applicable along this journey.
Today was a good, relaxing day. Ryan was in a great mood for the day, and he was feeling well. Thank you, Lord! It seems that we have been out and about for so many weekends, that it was nice to slow down for a day.
Pastor came over for a while, which was really nice. It's never a quick conversation with him, but they are always good. We are going to talk at both of tomorrow's services briefly about our journey. I guess that will make up for missing last week, so we will still have perfect attendance. :) Afterward, Mirjan went food shopping and the kids and I watched "The Tooth Fairy." It was a good movie.
As the evening rolled around, chaos creeped in. We had taco night and then Mirjan was trying to finish a birthday cake for her friend's party later tonight. Emma was covered in sprinkles, Ryan made a huge ball from the icing and it was all over him, and it continued like that for a while. I thought it was pretty amusing, but I dared not to laugh. After it was completed and Mirjan moved it to the other room, Emma did a sneak attack on the cake but before any damage was done, Davianna saw what was about to happen and stopped her. :)
The kids went to bed, and Mirjan took off for her party. Emma never really made it to sleepytown, so I took her, we watched tv for a while, and then she fell asleep on my chest. She is such a sweet blessing. I can't get enough of that sweetness.
Father, thank you for blessing Ryan with a good day. Thank you for the family time today and enjoying one another. Thank you for Mirjan, who does so much for our family and so much for other people. She is a blessing to us. Father, I ask that you continue to guide us and strengthen us along this journey. Please continue to heal my little boy. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
