"Live as someone who has been called, not just saved.
Find your purpose.
Surrender your own agenda to God and pursue His plans for your life.
Discover, develop, and fully use your natural talents and spiritual gifts.
Use your time well.
Use your money well.
Refuse to give in to the culture's pressure to compromise.
So, what do you want to be known for in life? Will it be for wearing fashionable clothes, filling your house with the latest gadgets, or eating well (even if you don't consume a burger every day)? Or will it be for making the most of your time by joining your life to God's mission in the world?
You've got choices on life's value menu. So decide today to build a legacy - not of consumption, but of contribution. Then, when you meet your Savior face to face, you'll have the joy of hearing Him say what the master in one of His parables said to a man who used his time and treasure well: "Well done, good and faithful servant!" (Matthew 25:21). " Live It
Well, the day ended with the three kids and myself on the bed laughing, tickling, and ganging up on daddy. There's no better way to end the day!
Ryan had a good day. He is now using my advice on his sister..."If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." However, every now and then, he changes it up..."If you don't have anything nice to say, you're going to get my fist." Uh, not acceptable, Ryan! At least the concept of only saying nice things to one another is hopefully sinking in.
MArielk came by and ate some of Mirjan's world famous enchiladas! She is headed to the boogie down tomorrow, so she is taking some things to Mirjan's family. Will is in DR with his father, so we'll be praying for their family...health and safe travels.
Mirjan spent some time in her garden tonight, and was excited that she could harvest some of the beans. Her gardening skills have vastly improved, and I attribute that to all the time that she spends on Farmville or Farmtown or whatever the facebook game is that packs 10,000 animals into 50x50 pixel space. She has practiced all winter and the dividends are paying off. I'm still waiting to come home and find chickens and goats all over the back yard.
Ryan asks me every day if tomorrow is guy's day. I'll have to plan another one...maybe we'll go fishing early one morning, or go over to a state park and go hiking.
How many funny faces can you make??
Father, thank you for blessing Ryan with a healthy, good day. Thank you for providing each day and for Mirjan's wonderful cooking. Thank you for the love of so many people. Father, I ask that you continue to guide us, comfort Ryan, and heal his little body. I ask that you give him courage to face the needle this week and calm his body, so the treatment isn't traumatic. I am grateful for all of your blessings daily. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
