"Move beyond appearances to truth. Even though the culture tells you that it's enough to simply appear good, God calls you to actually be good. Going to church on a weekend and then going home and living an unfaithful life for the rest of the week isn't okay. Following God's guidance in some ways (such as giving to charity and being a good friend to others) but not in other ways (such as lying and gossiping) isn't enough. Invite God to take control of every area of your life - from your work to your romantic relationships - and to transform you from the inside out. Then you'll have the power to live with integrity and grow into a truly good person - not just someone who tries hard to act the part." Live It
We had a fun evening tonight! I had another activity for Davianna and Ryan that kept them busy for a while. They had to do some math, shapes, count the windows in the house, the door knobs, etc. I learned that while a scavenger hunt is a lot of fun, the items scavenged don't seem to find their way back to their appropriate resting place.
After that, all the kids and I went to the backyard and played. I ended up chasing them everywhere, and I realized that they have a height advantage. When I got close to grabbing them, they would run under the trampoline. By the time I got under there, they were out the other side laughing. Emma really had it great, because she didn't even have to duck her head. We did that for about thirty minutes, and I was worn out. Just for the record, I did catch each one of them.
I gave Ryan a hand and foot massage tonight to calm him down before bed. He said, "Wow. That feels really nice." I also did the same strength tests on his legs and feet that the doctor does, and I'm no expert, but he is still strong. We'll ask the doctor tomorrow about the changes in his walking.
Davianna is excited about her field day tomorrow. She was telling me all of the things that they are going to do...talking 100 mph...like her momma speaking spanish. I think Mirjan is going to join her, so I'm sure that they will have a blast.
Father, thank you for blessing us with a fun evening. Thank you for the time that I am privileged to have with the kids each day. It truly is a blessing. I ask that you give Ryan courage to face the needle tomorrow, let the treatment be safe and effective, keep the side effects minimal, and continue to heal my little boy. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
