When we were getting ready for the early service, Ryan got sick again! He rarely gets sick on Sundays. So, Mirjan went to church with the girls since she had nursery duty, and I stayed home with Ryan. We watched some cartoons and just lounged around. He did end up eating a bowl of cereal and seemed to feel much better.
When they got back home, Emma got some chow and then went down for a nap. Mirjan and Ryan went to the store to get some burgers and hot dogs for lunch. The kids were excited that they were going to see their cousin Abby today.
Abby and Becky came by and the noise level increased significantly. It is amazing that within the minute of seeing each other, Davianna and Abby are completely in sync. Ryan was included in their activities today and things were good. It has been a blessing to see Abby and Becky several times over the past couple of months. The girls were already planning their next playtime.
Mirjan took the kids a bath tonight (I want to keep her skills sharp), and she did a pretty good job. Actually, she does a great job in everything that she does, and that is just one reason why I love her so much.
Today was a good day for everyone. I'm glad that Becky and Abby could visit as that did raise Ryan's spirits.
Father, thank you for blessing Ryan with a good day after an uncomfortable start. Thank you for the laughter and smiles of the kids today. Thank you for the love of family and their time that they share for Ryan. I ask that you continue to strengthen Ryan and heal his little body. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
