Day One Hundred Fourteen

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:32

It was a nice, relaxing, fun day!  Ryan had a really good day.  He was watching "Hair Club for Men" this morning, so I'm keeping a close watch on my credit cards. :)

It's amazing how the kids use technology!  Davianna wanted to call her cousin Abby, so she went and got her camera.  I was a little confused.  She showed me that she had taken 7 pictures of Abby holding up her fingers in each picture representing her phone number.  So, Davianna looked at the first picture, pushed that digit on the phone, looked at the second picture, pushed that digit on the phone, etc.  Very creative.  I have also seen her pause the DVR on a commercial, go get her camera, take a picture of the screen that shows the commercial's website, and then go to the computer and type in the website that is in the picture.  The pen and paper are going away with their generation.

Ryan and I had a fun day.  We went to see "Iron Man 2," and he loved it.  He talked about it the rest of the day.  Then we went and got some wings, ran around for a while, and then came home. We were out for about 5-6 hours, and he was pleasant, respectful, and really fun the entire time.  Before we went into a store, etc., he would say, "I know the rules, Dad," and then he would recite them.

Mirjan took Davianna and Emma over to Abby's house, so the girls could play.  Then they ran around that part of town and stayed out past their curfew!

Mirjan and I watched "The Blind Side" last night, and we really enjoyed it.  One really good benefit of Netflix is that every now and then, the stars align and we get to enjoy a movie together.

Father, thank you for blessing us with a great day! Thank you for the time Ryan and I could spend together and for his good spirits and laughs. I am grateful.  Please bless Ryan with health and comfort, and I ask that you continue to walk with him and heal him along this journey.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.
