Day Seventy-six

"Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other." John 13:34-35

Ryan had a good day today.  He was a little moody when it was time to eat and when it was time to take medicine, but that's not unusual.  He was excited that Pops and Elise came to visit!  Based on today, I'm betting he wears Pops out by about 10:00am tomorrow morning. :)  They were chasing each other around the house, he was riding on Pops shoulders, and everything else that required a lot of energy.  Elise made some personalized art kits for the kids and brought supplies to fill them.  Davianna is determined to take it to school tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes.  It is a blessing that they would drive across country to spend time with the kids and to help out.  God's love displayed.

When I find out where Pops hides his camera, I'm sure that I'll have many more pictures to post.  However, tonight he crashed with Ryan, and I don't know where he left it.  Elise was sleeping with Davianna, so I guess I get my bed back tonight.  Yeah!

This morning before I left, Ryan told me that I need to get home from work earlier, so we could spend some time together.   That made me feel good as I started my day!   Mirjan was cleaning the house all day and doing the laundry, so she was exhausted tonight.  I truly appreciate her and everything that she does for us each day!

Two more days, and we go through the big treatment again.  I'm sure we'll figure out the logistics tomorrow night, in regards to who is taking who where at what time.  Ryan will be admitted directly to the hospital at an earlier time instead of started off at the doctor's office.  A little change, but maybe that will allow us to get the scans completed and start the treatment a little earlier.  That might give him more time sleep before we head home on Saturday.

Well, it's late, so that's the update for today.

Father, thank you for blessing us with a good day.  Thank you for providing a safe trip for Pops and Elise and their love and kindness for the kids.  Your love was displayed several times today:  a hand-made pillow by someone in Nanna's bible study, movies given to Ryan by a co-worker, Mirjan's mother sending a package, and Pops and Elise visiting.  Thank you!  I ask that you continue to bless Ryan with your healing power, comfort, and strength as we continue on this journey.  Please heal my little boy.  In Jesus'  name I pray.  Amen.
