Day Forty-eight

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God"  Ephesians 2:8

Today the house was louder than yesterday.  Mirjan's mother and brother arrived and everyone was excited. Her mother brought a suitcase of food (I forgot to tell her that we have grocery stores here).  She brought about 40 plantains, some onions, cheese, etc.   Anyway, we're glad that they are here, and I have a good idea what we will be eating for the next several days.  I love it when the house is loud.

Here is just one drawer of plantains that arrived today.

Ryan was excited and had another good day.  He finally took a nap today, and he had a good appetite.  We even got some ice cream in him tonight.  Thank you, Lord!

I read the news article on the blog about different treatments for low neutrophil counts.  It was interesting, and I'll ask the doctor about it this week.

As I put Davianna to sleep, I was talking to her about big prayers to a big God.  I said she could pray to Him about anything....things that are difficult for her, things that she's not sure of, things she's scared about....anything.   She said, "I asked God for the answers on my math test, but He gave me the wrong answers."   I almost laughed, but we just talked about it.

Father, thank you for a wonderful day!  Thank you for the love of family and that they are here to spend time with us.  Let Davianna pray big prayers to you and look towards you for guidance and comfort.  I ask for safe treatment this Friday for Ryan, let there be minimal side affects, and continue to heal my little boy.  I'm grateful for the blessings that you provided today...thank you!!  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.
