Day Fifty-five

"Every evening I turn my worries over to God.  He's going to be up all night anyway."   Mary C. Crowley

Well, I got home and no one was there.  That was a weird feeling.   The gang had gone out to the outlet with Mama, and I'm sure she wanted to see if there were any deals here before she heads back home this weekend.

They had a busy day today...Michelle and her kids came over to play.   Melinda and her kids came over to play.  Molly & Megan stopped by as they were passing through town.   The kids had a wonderful time!   Thank you, Lord, for the love of friends and family!

As I was flipping through the radio stations in the car today, I stopped on a sports channel and the host was talking about how people handle their lot in life.  He said that everyone has something to complain about, such as a lost job, failed marriage, rough day, etc., and everyone thinks their problem is worse than anyone else.  He said that you should focus on making yourself, your family, or whoever is effected better during those situations.  It takes those type of events to realize the true value in life and that motivates you to take action to change for the better.  Interesting to hear that on a sports station, and it made me think if are we changing for the better.  I think we are in many ways.

I think we have the schedule worked out for this weekend.  Mirjan will take Ryan to the hospital, I"ll go to work and then leave mid-afternoon to pick up the kids and take Mama to the airport.  We will then go to the hospital and spend time with Ryan.  I'll then take the kids home and put them to bed, while Mirjan stays with Ryan overnight.  After staying with Ryan the last time, I think it will be good for Mirjan to be with him.  He sometimes feels like he has to be a tough boy with dad, and this way he can let his mother smother him with her special mommy love.  I'm sure plans will change since we still have a couple of days, but at least I think we have a plan right now.

Father, thank you for another healthy day for Ryan.  Thank you for the caring and love of friends and family to spend their time and bring him smiles and laughter.  I ask that you continue to open our eyes to opportunities to share your word and love as we continue on this journey.  I ask for your healing power over Ryan and let this weekend's treatment be safe, effective, and worry-free for all.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.

David, I have so enjoyed following Ryan's journey on your blog! The love, admiration and respect you have for Mirjan is beautiful and the love and pride you have in your children is heartwarming! I enjoy the scriptures that you share in each post and your daily prayer at the end. This has really helped me to be able to focus my prayers for Ryan, and for all of you, as your prayer needs change.

Ryan is the sweetest, most loving little boy and he loves God so much - you and Mirjan have done a beautiful job with Davianna and Ryan, and I know it will be no different with Emma.

Jadyn and I pray for Ryan every night and we will continue to do so as you all continue this journey.

Love and blessings to each of you,
Jesse, Lyn and Jadyn Nelson
