"You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 2:1
Ryan had a good day today, and Mirjan said he ate well.  His mood was good this evening, and although he told me he didn't want to go to the hospital, he said it in a way that it was really no big deal.  He will do fine tomorrow.
I started this early tonight, and asked Ryan if he wanted to say anything on his blog (he doesn't know what a blog is, but he started telling me what to type).  Here it is word for word:
"I am brave when they put the needle in.  Nanna, please trust me, I am a cool little boy.  I love you, Nanna.  You are the cutest one I've ever seen."
I think I've missed a lot this week with all the friend visits.  Amy brought her son by to play with Ryan, and Davianna played at her friend's house today.  They both said that they had a great time!   Thank you, Lord, for those taking time to make Ryan's life normal and fun.
Afterward, they all went back to the outlet because Mirjan received a bigger coupon in the mail today.  So, she had to take advantage of the additional savings and get a price adjustment on what was purchased yesterday.   I did ask her if it cost more for the gas than the additional savings, and she didn't respond.  Hmmmm..   She is truly a coupon queen and has one for everything.
We took Mirjan's mother out to dinner tonight, since this is her last night here.  I arrived at the restaurant at the time Mirjan said, but they arrived in old-school, Mirjan-ELT style.  The food was good, and she enjoyed herself, so the wait was worth it.  When we got home Ryan was chasing her around the house....he is much faster than Mama.  He would spank her and run and she couldn't catch him....funny!
Friday to Friday - I'm ready for Saturday afternoon, so Ryan will be through the treatment.  I asked if there was anything that I could bring for him tomorrow, and he told me: line candy (twizzlers), jelly beans, and skittles.  So, I'll pick up some candy when I take the girls up to the hospital.
That's it today...not much, but enough.
Father, thank you for a good day for Ryan and the kids!  Thank you for the love, help, and time that Mirjan's mother has graciously given.  I ask that you bless her and give her safe travels back to her home.  Please be with Ryan tomorrow and give him confidence, strength, and understanding.  Let him feel your presence and understand that the hospital stay is part of your healing process and everything will be fine.  Thank you for blessing us with Jo, Nick, John, and others and let them bring comfort to Ryan through their caring and prayers at the hospital.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.
