Day One Hundred Sixty-three

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you a heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."  Ezekiel 36:26

Ryan had a real good day today.  We got up and went to the earliest showing of "Toy Story 3."  Every other time that we have gone to the first show on a Saturday, we pretty much had the theater to ourselves.  Not today.  It was packed.  We got there about 20 minutes late, which usually gets us pretty close to the start of the movie.  It drives me crazy to spend money on the movies and then sit and watch half an hour of commercials and previews.  The previews were ending when we got into the theater, and the only row with three seats together was the second row.  Perfect timing!  The kids absolutely loved the movie!  I thought it was the best Toy Story movie yet, and the best movie we have seen in a while.

Afterward, we went to Sam's Club because we were out of everything.  Davianna was in charge of finding the things on our list, and Ryan was in charge of eating the free samples.  The crowd wasn't bad at all for a Saturday afternoon.  Then we hurried home, because Nana was on her way.

When Nana arrived, the kids were going nuts!  They had a nice afternoon reading and playing.  We went to the outdoor shopping mall in the evening to just walk around and look.  Ryan was on my shoulders for a while, and then Davianna.  We went into the Apple store, and Davianna and Ryan immediately picked up the new iphone and each started playing games.  We had to drag them out of there.  We then ate pizza and sandwiches, and headed back home.

This is a really important picture!  Mirjan and I played tic-tac-toe, and I won.  Think about it...doesn't the game almost always end in a tie?  :)

Nana read them a book tonight and Ryan was excited to sleep with her.  She had been asking me questions all day about her iphone and how do little things, so Ryan will take over for me this evening and explain more things to her.  :)

Father, thank you for blessing us with a wonderful day.  Thank you for the love of a grandmother that brings so much joy to the kids.  Thank you for the time together today and such a relaxing day.  I ask that you continue to strengthen Ryan's body and keep him healthy.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.
