Day Ninety-two

"through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand."  Romans 5:2

We had a good day at the clinic! Ryan did not need a transfusion!  Praise the Lord!  The doctor was sure that he would need one today, but his counts were good.  He was so sure, that Mirjan tried to do a directed blood donation on Tuesday, but they could only get 1/2 a pint.  So, needless to say, it was a good visit (even though the second nurse took out the needle and forgot to flush the port...so, the needle had to go back in again, which is absolutely the worse part for Ryan...urghhhh).   Mirjan was smiling ear to ear like someone just told her that she had won a million plantains!

Oh, I have to mention that Mirjan is rubbing off on me.  Mirjan left from home, and I left from work to go to the doctor's office.  We both arrived in the parking lot at the same time....on ELT time.  So, not only has she taught me how to be late, but the right amount of late.  ELT in now engrained into our body clocks and they are in sync with one another.

Here are some pictures from the visit (Ryan is just too cool with that hat and those sunglasses):

Ryan playing with some toys that Claudia brought him.

Emma just going where Mommy takes her and soaks in all the action.

I had to work late tonight, so the kids were already in bed when I got home.  I rarely miss an evening with them, and I truly miss them when I do.  I'll have to make up the missed time tomorrow.

Father, thank you for blessing us with this good day.  I thank you for answering our prayers to strengthen Ryan's body, so that the transfusion would not be necessary.  I thank you for Ryan's courage today to face the needle two times.  You are amazing, and I am grateful.  I ask that you continue to comfort him, strengthen him, and continue to heal his little body.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.
