Day Ninety-eight

"Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church."  Ephesians 4:15

Ryan had a pretty good day today.  He spent several hours at the school and enjoyed seeing his friends.  The school administrators and teachers have been so nice and welcoming.  Since we pulled him out of pre-school, they have visited him at the hospital, sent care packages, etc.  God's love displayed.

I got home in time to eat dinner with everyone today!  It's been a crazy week.   The grill wouldn't start, so I worked on that, but by the time I got it working, Mirjan had taken out the little, George Foreman grill and finished the chicken.  She made a topping to put on it that was amazing!   Ryan didn't want to eat again, but managed to get some food down.

Mirjan sends me random pictures from the phone and I received this one today.  It looks like Emma enjoyed some yogurt in the car today!  That's how she eats at home too.

After dinner, we put youtube on the TV and had a mini dance-a-thon.  Everybody in the family can dance but me, but at least I have fun.  I did get part of one dance with my wonderful wife (before Emma became too jealous).

Davianna lost a tooth today, so she was excited about the tooth fairy.  I told her that the economy was bad and the tooth fairy was laid off..........of course, I didn't do tell her that.  I'm sure that she will receive a visit from the tooth fairy tonight and be happy in the morning.  I need to check with Mirjan to see if an expectation ($$) was already set for this tooth.  We don't agree on the compensation for teeth, but I just go along (yes, dear; okay, dear; I love you, dear; do you want to buy groceries or a tooth, dear).

Tomorrow is a new treatment for Ryan, and he will receive two chemo drugs at an outpatient visit.  One will make him nauseous, so I pray that it won't affect him like the inpatient visits.  We don't have anything planned on Saturday in case it needs to be a day at the house.

Father, I ask that you give Ryan courage to face the needle tomorrow.  I ask that his counts be high and that the treatment is safe and effective.  Please keep his spirits high and let the side affects be minimal.  I ask that you keep him in your hands and continue to heal his little body.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.
